After looking at the reasons and motivating factors behind Augustine 
and Jerome’s separate conclusions on the Old Testament canon, it is time
 to consider their reasons and motivations and decide which is something
 closer to what we should adopt. Both men used apostolic authority as 
one of their most important criteria and this should also be one of
